Das Label Bear Family veröffentlicht in dieser Woche eine umfangreiche CD-Serie über American Troubadours in den Jahren 1920-70. Folksinger oder Singer-Songwriter die vor allem das politische/sozialkritische Songwriting prägten.
Ebenfalls sehr "Folk-orientiert" ist das von ByteFM präsentierte Down by the River Festival am 26.Juli. Es ist das sechste Festival und findet zum ersten Mal in Berlin's Club :/about blank statt. Neue interessante Songwriter/Innen gibt es dort zu entdecken.
