Die australische Singer-Songwriterin Julia Jacklin hat mit \u201eTo Perth, Before The Border Closes\u201c und \u201eCry\u201c zwei neue Songs herausgebracht. Man merkt es den Songtiteln gleich an, dass sie mit der Corona-Pandemie in Zusammenhang stehen. Jacklin, die im M\u00e4rz dieses Jahres mit ihrem zweiten Album \u201eCrushing\u201c eigentlich auf eine Welttournee gehen wollte, wurde vom Corona-Lockdown in Australien kalt erwischt. Die Musikerin blieb daraufhin in Perth, wo sie die neuen Songs mit Jennifer Aslett, Christ Wright und Jacob Diamond aufnahm.<\/p>\n

\u201eIch bin in den letzten f\u00fcnf Jahren viel umgezogen. Dinge jagen, lieben, arbeiten, etwas Neues, was auch immer, und es besteht immer die Angst, dass ich gute Dinge zur\u00fccklasse, nur um woanders hinzugehen und einsam zu sein\u201c, kommentierte Jacklin den vertr\u00e4umten Song \u00fcber Perth. \u201eIch begann dieses Lied in Melbourne zu schreiben und beendete es in Perth. Es war wie eine kleine Liederbr\u00fccke zwischen den beiden St\u00e4dten, um den Wechsel zu erleichtern.\u201c<\/p>\n

Jacklins Album \u201eCrushing\u201c war im Fr\u00fchjahr 2019 Album der Woche bei ByteFM<\/a> und hat den darauf enthaltenen Song \u201eHead Alone<\/a>\u201c live bei uns im Studio performt.
