Vielleicht muss ja alles gar nicht so schwer sein. Das erz\u00e4hlt uns jedenfalls Ela Minus. \u201eIf you have to go to the bottom of a hole \/ To find what’s wrong \/ Just let it go\u201c, singt die Kolumbianerin auf ihrer Deb\u00fctsingle. Wenn Du auf den Boden eines tiefen Lochs krabbeln musst, um herauszufinden, was falsch ist, dann solltest Du es vielleicht lieber lassen. Warum im Dreck w\u00fchlen, wenn man einfach weitergehen kann? <\/p>\n

Was sich ein bisschen wie ein motivierender Postkarten-Spruch liest, hat aber mehr Dimensionen. Das verr\u00e4t auch der Titel dieser Single: \u201eThey Told Us It Was Hard, But They Were Wrong\u201c. Minus, die mit b\u00fcrgerlichem Namen Gabriela Jimeno hei\u00dft, muss das \u201eThey\u201c nicht definieren, um klar zu stellen, wen oder was sie meint. Ihre Musik klingt erst einmal distanziert, gef\u00fcllt mit stoisch pulsierenden Synthesizern und unterk\u00fchlt intoniertem Gesang. Nach 80er-Jahre-Wave und dem zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Synth-Pop, der von ihm beeinflusst wurde. Doch der Spirit, der diese Song antreibt, ist Widerstand. <\/p>\n

Empathie als Rebellion<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Das wird noch deutlicher in der n\u00e4chsten Single \u201eMegapunk\u201c: \u201eWe can’t seem to find \/ A reason to stay quiet\u201c, singt Jimeno da, \u00fcber einen so gar nicht \u201equieten\u201c Beat. \u201eWe’re afraid we’ll run out of time \/ To stand up for our rights\u201c, geht es weiter. Kein Wunder, dass ihr Deb\u00fctalbum \u201eActs Of Rebellion\u201c hei\u00dft. <\/p>\n

Doch auch wenn die Musik treibender wird, die Bassdrum mehr anzieht, der Techno st\u00e4rker durchscheint, schreibt Jimeno keine Songs zum Faust-in-die-Luft-Recken. Auf \u201eActs Of Rebellion\u201c gibt es keine Protesthymnen. Stattdessen scheint sie die inneren Monologe einer Generation zu vertonen. Jimenos Rebellion hei\u00dft Empathie. \u201eToday I woke up at seven p.m. \/ My brain feels like it\u2019s going to break\u201c, singt sie sp\u00e4ter auf diesem Album und spricht wahrscheinlich vielen Menschen in dieser Zeit aus der Seele: \u201eI haven\u2019t seen anyone in a couple of days \/ I\u2019m afraid I forgot how to talk \/ To anyone else that\u2019s not myself.\u201c Dabei w\u00fchlt sie sich gar nicht durch den Dreck. Stattdessen klingt diese Musik wie ein Zuspruch. Wie ein Balsam f\u00fcr unruhige Geister, ein sanftes \u201eDu bist nicht allein\u201c. Allein das kann ja schon Vieles leichter machen. <\/p>\n
