April 2020<\/a>, nur wenige Wochen vor seinem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/sendungen\/bytefm-container\/2020-08-12\/10\/tony-allen-wird-80-mit-dirk-domin\/\">80. Geburtstag<\/a>. Bis kurz vor seinem Tod hatte Allen an einem HipHop-Projekt namens \u201eThere Is No End\u201c gearbeitet \u2013 eine Kollaboration mit verschiedenen K\u00fcnstler*innen, die Gesang, Rap und Produktion beisteuern sollten. \u201eThere Is No End\u201c wird im April nachtr\u00e4glich als Album ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Mit \u201eCosmosis\u201c liegt nun die erste Single daraus vor. Dass das \u00fcberhaupt m\u00f6glich ist, liegt daran, dass Allen mit dem franz\u00f6sischen Produzenten Vincent Taeger schon Teile der Aufnahmen abgeschlossen hatte. Diese bildeten nun die Basis f\u00fcr die weitere Arbeit an der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Hochkar\u00e4tige Rap-Kollaboration<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Das Besondere am Song \u201eCosmosis\u201c ist dabei, dass er als einziger live mit allen Beteiligten eingespielt wurde. Mit dabei waren unter anderem der Damon Albarn, Grime-Superstar Skepta sowie Perkussionist Remi Kabaka Jr. Dabei basiert der Track lose auf dem Song \u201eHow Far?\u201c, den Allen, Albarn und Skepta f\u00fcr eine Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Albarns Gorillaz aufgenommen hatten. Doch es sind noch mehr hochkar\u00e4tige Musiker*innen auf dem Album vertreten. Auf den anderen St\u00fccken werden unter anderem Sampa The Great, Marlowe, Nah Eeto, Zelooperz aus Detroit, The Koreatown Oddity und Lava La Rue zu h\u00f6ren sein.<\/p>\n<p>Die Platte erscheint am 30. April 2021 bei Decca Records, und damit genau ein Jahr nach Allens Tod.
