Der kanadische Musiker und Produzent Daniel Lanois hat eine neues St\u00fcck namens \u201eTorn Again\u201c ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Der Track basiert auf einer Aufnahme von Leonard Cohen, der darin mit gewohnt sonorer Bariton-Stimme ein Gedicht rezitiert. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Adaption des St\u00fccks \u201eIt’s Torn<\/a>\u201c, welches auf der Leonard-Cohen-LP \u201eThanks For The Dance\u201c (2019) posthum erschienen ist. Der kanadische Musiker und Schriftsteller\u00a0war 2016<\/a> im Alter von 82 Jahren gestorben.<\/p>\n

Steel-Gitarren f\u00fcr das besondere Gef\u00fchl<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Untermalt ist die Cohen-Aufnahme von ged\u00e4mpften Slide-Gitarren und zur\u00fcckhaltend arrangierten, orchestral anmutenden Kl\u00e4ngen. Die singenden Gitarrenkl\u00e4nge dazu hat der kalifornische Indie-Rock-Musiker Rocco DeLuca eingespielt, der damit die Grundlage f\u00fcr die weitere Produktion lieferte. \u201eWayne Lorenz (Lanois‘ Produzent, Anm. d. Red.) und ich haben viele Stunden im Studio damit verbracht, die Gitarren neu zu arrangieren und zu synchronisieren, um die lyrische Reise komplimentierend zu unterstreichen\u201c, so Lanois.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr ihn habe das vertonte St\u00fcck Poesie von Cohen einen besonderen emotionalen Stellenwert: \u201eDieses Gedicht von Leonard Cohen und die Lesung von dem Mann selbst haben bei mir immer dieses besondere Gef\u00fchl hinterlassen.\u201c Die investierte Zeit habe sich also gelohnt. \u201eIch bin sehr stolz auf diese Arbeit, m\u00f6ge sie weiterreichen und sprechen.\u201c<\/p>\n
