Die Chance f\u00fcr dieses \u201eVanishing-Twin\u201c-Ph\u00e4nomen betr\u00e4gt etwa f\u00fcnf Prozent. Ziemlich gering also. <\/p>\n<p>Wie hoch ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass alle vier Musiker*innen der nach diesem Ph\u00e4nomen benannten Band unter diese f\u00fcnf Prozent fallen? Noch viel geringer. Wieso also \u00fcberhaupt die Frage stellen? Weil Vanishing Twin in ihrer Musik eine solche Vielseitigkeit an den Tag legen, dass man vermuten k\u00f6nnte, dass jedes einzelne Bandmitglied f\u00fcr dieses Talent mehrere Menschen absorbiert haben m\u00fcsste. <\/p>\n<h4><strong>In alle Richtungen gleichzeitig <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u201eThe Age Of Immunology\u201c, das 2019er Deb\u00fctalbum des Londoner Quartetts, war bereits von extrem eklektischer Natur, eine wilde Mischung aus Kraut, Funk, Sun-Ra-Worship und Dada-\u00c4sthetik. Doch der nun erscheinende Nachfolger setzt dem noch einiges drauf. \u201eOokii Gekkou\u201c ist ein wahres Kaleidoskop, das in verschiedensten Formen und Farben schillert \u2013 und alle zehn Sekunden etwas Neues offenbart. <\/p>\n<p>Der \u201eOokii Gekkou\u201c er\u00f6ffnende Titeltrack gibt die Richtung vor: Ein kontrolliert stolpernder Groove im 5\/4-Takt clasht gegen ein zartes Glockenspiel (im 4\/4-Takt gespielt, um die wunderbare Verwirrung zu komplettieren). S\u00e4ngerin Cathy Lucas schl\u00e4ngelt sich entspannt durch dieses rhythmische Dickicht, kanalisiert dabei die lakonische Gem\u00fctlichkeit von Stereolabs L\u00e6titia Sadier. Anderswo erkunden Vanishing Twin die vielen Schattierungen des Ambient, unter anderem mit den Horror-Film-Soundtrack-Klangfl\u00e4chen von \u201eThe Organism\u201c oder den langgezogenen Gitarren-Akkorden von \u201eWider Than Itself\u201c. Selbst Ohrwurm-Kandidaten, wie das gen\u00fcsslich Thai-funkende \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/tracks-des-tages\/phase-one-million-vanishing-twin-114946\/\">Phase One Million<\/a>\u201c, kommen nicht ohne verspielte Vertracktheit aus.
