\u201eIs That How You Want Me To Feel?\u201c hei\u00dft eine neue Single einer noch relativ neuen US-amerikanischen Jangle-Pop-Band. Die Gruppe kommt aus Los Angeles und h\u00f6rt auf den Namen Le Pain. Aus dem Song spricht eine melancholische W\u00e4rme, die an franz\u00f6sischen 60er- und 70er-Pop erinnert. Oder an 80er-Jahre-Indie-Pop von Labels wie Cherry Red und Bands wie The Go-Betweens. Oder nat\u00fcrlich an die Wiege aller Jangle-Gitarren, den US-Westcoast-Pop von The Byrds, Carly Simon oder The Monkees. Zwei Tage, nachdem Ex-Monkee Michael Nesmith im Dezember 2021 starb, coverten Le Pain als Hommage sogar dessen Komposition \u201eDifferent Drum\u201c. Dieser halboffiziellen Single l\u00e4sst das kalifornische Quartett mit unserem Track des Tages nun seine dritte Eigenkomposition folgen.<\/p>\n

Le Pain sind eine Band um die S\u00e4ngerin Madeline Babuka Black, die zuvor bei den von allen m\u00f6glichen Punk-Spielarten beeinflussten Yucky Duster gespielt hat. Die Gruppe l\u00f6ste sich schon 2017 auf, schloss ihre Diskografie aber erst im Januar 2022 mit dem bislang unver\u00f6ffentlichten Album \u201eYD III<\/a>\u201c ab. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte Babuka Black schon die ersten zweieinhalb Le-Pain-Singles drau\u00dfen. Hinter dem Schlagzeug sitzt ihre Schwester Olivia, Gitarre und Bass spielen Scott Rosenthal und Alan Everhart. Auch wenn Rosenthal in bester DIY-Manier die Songs selbst produziert, ist wenig von der Yucky-Duster-Rauheit \u00fcbriggeblieben. Daf\u00fcr klingen sie h\u00f6chst melodisch, atmosph\u00e4risch und sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail durcharrangiert.<\/p>\n
