Kelly Lee Owens hat mit zwei neuen Songs ihr Album \u201eLP.8\u201c angek\u00fcndigt. Die beiden Singles hei\u00dfen \u201eSonic 8\u201c und \u201eOlga\u201c und beschreiten ganz unterschiedliche musikalische Pfade. Die Platte wird der Nachfolger von Owens\u2019 LP \u201eInner Song\u201c, die im August 2020 Album der Woche bei ByteFM<\/a> war, und das dritte Studioalbum der walisischen Musikerin.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr das neue Album hat Owens Lasse Marhaug eingespannt, der auch schon mit K\u00fcnstler*innen wie Merzbow, Sunn O))) und Jenny Hval zusammengearbeitet hat. Das Album wurde von Cherif Hashizume gemischt und von Beau Thomas gemastert. Als Produkt kam \u201eLP.8\u201c heraus, dessen Titel etwas irref\u00fchrend ist. Schlie\u00dflich ist es nicht das achte Werk der K\u00fcnstlerin. Sie selbst sieht das aber nicht als Widerspruch: \u201eF\u00fcr mich bedeutetet \u201a8\u2018 Vollst\u00e4ndigkeit \u2013 ein Album, das mit mir pers\u00f6nlich ewig schwingen wird\u201c, so Owens.<\/p>\n
