Die britische Supergroup The Smile, bestehend aus Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood (beide Radiohead) und Tom Skinner (Sons Of Kemet), hat ihr Deb\u00fctalbum \u201eA Light For Attracting Attention\u201c angek\u00fcndigt. Als kleines Extra gibt es au\u00dferdem ein neues Musikvideo zur Single \u201eFree In The Knowledge\u201c zu sehen. Vorangegangen waren bereits die neuen Tracks \u201eYou Will Never Work In Television Again<\/a>\u201c, mit dem die Band im Januar 2022 deb\u00fctierte, und \u201eThe Smoke<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

Die von Nigel Godrich produzierte Platte wird insgesamt 13 St\u00fccke enthalten. Als Gastmusiker*innen sind Streicher*innen des London Contemporary Orchestra sowie die Jazz-Musiker*innen Byron Wallen, Theon und Nathaniel Cross, Chelsea Carmichael, Robert Stillman und Jason Yarde auf dem Longplayer vertreten.<\/p>\n

Das Musikvideo zur Single \u201eFree In The Knowledge\u201c entstand unter Regie von Leo Leigh. F\u00fcr einige Fans d\u00fcrfte der Track indes nicht ganz neu sein: Thom Yorke hatte ihn bereits im Dezember des vergangenen Jahres live vor Publikum vorgestellt.<\/p>\n
