Dass es nicht zu den Vorabsingles zu \u201eHappy Gathering\u201c geh\u00f6rte, ist ein wenig verwunderlich. Denn der Song ist \u00fcber weite Strecken ein tanzbarer Garage-Rock-Stomper. Wobei die Rock-Kategorie zur Beschreibung des Gesangs von Gruff Glyn eher unbrauchbar ist. Doch das ist eigentlich auch ganz gut so, denn das bedeutet, dass die walisische Band beim Songwriting nicht nach Zahlen malt. Und so klingt Glyn w\u00e4hrend der Strophen beinahe schon weniger wie ein Rock-S\u00e4nger denn wie ein wortgewandter, sanfter Gespr\u00e4chspartner. Die Gruppe aus Cardiff ist sich des Umstandes sehr bewusst, dass sie nur ihren eigenen \u2013 oft seltsamen \u2013 Einf\u00e4llen folgen muss.<\/p>\n<p>Wenn beispielsweise unser Track des Tages vom Garage-Bubblegum-Soul-Pop- in den Country-Rock-Balladen-Modus schaltet, ist das Melin-Melyn-typisches Verhalten. \u00c4hnlich undogmatisch wie bei den Genres ist die Band auch bei ihrer Themenwahl.
