Bislang ist das St\u00fcck des New Yorker Gesangstrios eine Standalone-Single, aber Singles sind bislang die gr\u00f6\u00dfte St\u00e4rke der Band aus dem Umfeld des Labels Colemine Records gewesen. Vielleicht auch deswegen, weil die Band ihre ersten Singles aufnahm, nachdem sie schon ein ganzes Album im Kasten hatte. Als sich dessen Ver\u00f6ffentlichung aus logistischen Gr\u00fcnden verz\u00f6gerte, sch\u00fcttelte die nun so richtig warmgespielte Gruppe Hit auf Hit scheinbar locker aus dem \u00c4rmel. So war die Deb\u00fctsingle \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/tracks-des-tages\/forget-me-not-say-she-she-120917\">Forget Me Not<\/a>\u201c im Februar 2022 ein fulminanter Einstand, der wie die folgenden Singles das im Herbst folgende Album \u201ePrism\u201c in den Schatten stellte. Trotzdem verk\u00fcrzte der es immer noch sehr gute Longplayer die Wartezeit auf die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/tracks-des-tages\/trouble-say-she-she-track-des-tages-128397\">n\u00e4chsten Singles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Piya Malik, Sabrina Mileo Cunningham und Nya Parker Brown sind nun also erneut mit ihrer tighten Backingband im Studio gewesen, um eine politische Nummer aufzunehmen. Das ist kein Novum f\u00fcr Say She She. Denn ihre St\u00fccke funktionieren oft sowohl auf dem Dancefloor als auch als Sprachrohr. Am deutlichsten bezogen sie in ihrer Single \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/tracks-des-tages\/norma-funky-protest-single-von-say-she-she-125138\">Norma<\/a>\u201c Stellung im Zuge der \u00c4nderung des US-Abtreibungsrechts. Unser Track des Tages wiederum behandelt ein globales Problem. So beschreiben die Liner-Notes den Song als \u201eKampfansage an die Dystopie\u201c. Er rufe auf zum Aufstand gegen die unheilbringenden Kr\u00e4fte des ungez\u00fcgelten Kapitalismus, die Himmel und Meere bedrohen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Single \u201eReeling\u201c von Say She She ist digital bereits auf dem Label Colemine Records erschienen, wo der Song am 19. Mai 2023 auch auf Vinyl herauskommt. Heute ist das St\u00fcck unser Track des Tages.
