Geburtstag von Kim Gordon. Als Bassistin, Songschreiberin und S\u00e4ngerin pr\u00e4gte die US-amerikanische K\u00fcnstlerin vor allem in den 80ern und 90ern die Musiklandschaft. W\u00e4hrend Sonic Youth \u00fcberwiegend Noise-Rock spielten, waren die Einfl\u00fcsse der Band ziemlich breit aufgestellt und auch der Einfluss, den sie aus\u00fcbte, ging weit \u00fcber der l\u00e4rmenden Underground hinaus. Anfang der 80er gegr\u00fcndet, waren Sonic Youth das Produkt einer aufregenden Zeit an einem aufregenden Ort. Denn die Band startete nicht als Garagen-Punk-Kapelle, sondern als musikalisches Projekt an der Schnittstelle von Avantgarde-Kunst und No Wave. Obschon Sonic Youth ungez\u00fcgelt und dilettantisch klingen konnten, hatte ihr Krach Methode.<\/p>\n<p>Doch Kim Gordon war nicht blo\u00df eine Musikerin einer hippen Band, sondern eine der wichtigsten weiblichen Identifikationsfiguren der 80er-Jahre. So war sie nicht nur eine \u00fcber jeden Zweifel erhabene ultracoole Erscheinung, sondern sprach deutlich an, was ihr missfiel. Zus\u00e4tzliche Szene-Legitimit\u00e4t verleiht diesem ein Feature des MCs Chuck D von Public Enemy. Seit sich Sonic Youth 2011 aufl\u00f6sten, hat Gordon unter anderem zwei Soloalben, mehrere LPs mit dem Projekt Body\/Head und eine Autobiografie ver\u00f6ffentlicht.
