Die Garage-Rock-Band Allah-Las aus Los Angeles hat ein neues Album namens \u201eZuma 85\u201c angek\u00fcndigt. Frisch erschienen ist nun die Lead-Single und LP-Opener \u201eThe Stuff\u201c sowie der Instrumental-Titeltrack des neuen Longplayers. Der Titel ist einer Fotografie von John Divola entlehnt, die das Interieur eines verw\u00fcsteten, verlassenen Hauses an der US-Westk\u00fcste zeigt, und die Sch\u00f6nheit der Natur mit menschengemachtem Chaos kontrastiert. Die eindrucksvolle Aufnahme ist zugleich das Album-Cover von \u201eZuma 85\u201c.<\/p>\n

Neue musikalische Wege<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Bei \u201eThe Stuff\u201c handelt es sich um eine augenzwinkernde Hommage an historische Musiktrends und -stereotype, so die Band in einem Statement. \u201eDies wird klanglich durch Vocoder, Gitarrensolos und einen gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigen, treibenden Rhythmus verk\u00f6rpert.\u201c Matthew Correia (Schlagzeug\/Gesang), Spencer Dunham (Bass, Gitarre, Gesang), Miles Michaud (Gitarre, Orgel, Gesang) und Pedrum Siadatian (Gitarre, Synthesizer, Gesang) erforschen auf der Platte also auch neue Sounds, die sie von ihren gewohnten Psych- und Garage-Rock-Pfaden abbringen.<\/p>\n
