Der Longplayer folgt mit vier Jahren Abstand \u201eFreier Geist\u201c, dem LP-Deb\u00fct der Berliner S\u00e4ngerin. Schon darauf sang Portanet neben der deutschen auch in der englischen und der franz\u00f6sischen Sprache. Auf \u201eChasing Dreams\u201c kommt nun noch Spanisch hinzu, wobei Englisch die einzige Fremdsprache bleibt. Denn die K\u00fcnstlerin wuchs als Tochter deutscher und spanischer Eltern in Paris auf, wo sie unter anderem im Kinderchor der Nationaloper sang. W\u00e4hrend der dramatische Stil der Opern-Schule immer wieder in ihrem Gesang durchkommt, ist ihre Musik eher in Punk, Goth und New Wave verwurzelt. Allerdings weniger in einer r\u00e4udigen Garage-Ausformung, sondern mit artsy Glam wie bei Nina Hagen oder Lene Lovich.<\/p>\n<p>Das gilt zumindest f\u00fcr die erste LP. Denn in einem langen, langen Album-Rollout vervollst\u00e4ndigt sich zusehends das Gesicht einer sehr viel poppigeren Platte. Bereits 2021 erschien der erste Vorabsong \u201eReal Face\u201c, der zwar noch Sounds der Wave-\u00c4ra verarbeitet, die hier aber nur noch einen zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Pop-Song verzieren. W\u00e4hrend das St\u00fcck in dieser Form durchaus mainstreamf\u00e4hig ist, ver\u00f6ffentlichte Portanet es noch einmal als Piano-Ballade. Das einzige Begleitinstrument spielte Chilly Gonzales, neben Tobias Bamborschke von Isolation Berlin einer von zwei Feature-G\u00e4sten der neuen LP. Auch wenn Portanet zwischenzeitlich mit der Thrash-Metal-Band Kreator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ox-fanzine.de\/kreator-song-mit-sofia-portanet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zusammengearbeitet<\/a> hat, steuert \u201eChasing Dreams\u201c unverhohlen auf die erste Pop-Liga zu. Bisher am besten funktioniert der Mainstream-Flirt auf unserem Track des Tages. Dort flankieren Pauken und Glocken fette New-Order- und Pet-Shop-Boys-Synths unter zauberhaften 80s-French-Pop-Gesangsmelodien.<\/p>\n<p>Das Album \u201eChasing Dreams\u201c von Sofia Portanet erscheint am 5.
