Zu den unertr\u00e4glichsten Promo-Floskeln geh\u00f6ren S\u00e4tze wie: \u201eDer neue Longplayer ist f\u00fcr die Band ein ganz besonderes Werk und ihr bislang pers\u00f6nlichstes Album.\u201c Doch im Falle der siebten LP der US-amerikanischen Garage-Rock-Band w\u00e4re es sch\u00f6n, wenn es sich hier um nichtssagendes Werbesprech handelte. Leider ist dem nicht so. Denn auf \u201eThe Moon Is In The Wrong Place\u201c versucht das Quartett, einen unsagbar bitteren Verlust zu verarbeiten. Mit dem Unfalltod des kalifornischen Musikers Joe Haener verlor die Gruppe 2022 nicht nur einen engen Freund. Der verheerende Unfall ereignete sich auch wenige Wochen vor der geplanten Hochzeit ihrer S\u00e4ngerin und Bassistin Shannon Shaw mit Haener.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWir sp\u00fcrten alle die Dringlichkeit, etwas zu machen, das diesen Meteor, der in unseren Planeten einschlug, verarbeitet\u201c, sagt Keyboarder Will Sprott. So versuchen Shannon And The Clams auf der LP, irgendwie mit der Trag\u00f6die klarzukommen. Die Lead-Vocals unseres Tracks des Tages \u00fcbernimmt Gitarrist Cody Blanchard. Zwar klingt der Song fast schon hymnisch, doch der Stomp-Beat ist kein Produkt der Euphorie. Vielmehr erscheint er als Ausdruck der Panik, die einsetzt, wenn man einer schlimmen Situation ausgeliefert ist. Das Leben beschreibt Blanchard in den Lyrics als eine Fahrt in einem Riesenrad, das immer mehr au\u00dfer Kontrolle ger\u00e4t. Dabei hatte man diese Fahrt eigentlich nie antreten wollen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Album \u201eThe Moon Is In The Wrong Place\u201c von Shannon And The Clams erscheint am 10.
