Er ist die erste Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der K\u00fcnstlerin Shonali Bhowmik nur unter ihrem Vornamen. Insofern liegt es nahe, dass die Musikerin aus Nashville, Tennessee mit ihrem kommenden zweiten Album \u201eOne Machine At A Time\u201c auf die eine oder andere Weise ein neues Kapitel aufschl\u00e4gt. Neben ihrer Musikkarriere ist die studierte Juristin seit Jahren auch als Schauspielerin, Drehbuchschreiberin und Comedian aktiv. Zwischen 2001 und 2014 spielte sie unter anderem in den Garage-Rock-Bands Ultrababyfat und Tigers And Monkeys. Ihre Solo-Deb\u00fct-LP \u201e100 Oaks Revival\u201c erschien sogar schon im Jahr 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Wenngleich sie zehn Jahre lang kein Album ver\u00f6ffentlicht hat, ist Shonali S\u00e4ngerin und Songschreiberin durch und durch. Bereits in ihrer Kindheit begann sie, eigene Songs auf Kassette aufzunehmen und ihre erste Puppe taufte sie \u201eJohnny Cash\u201c. Als sie 2022 ihren Vater verlor, ermutigte sie das traumatische Ereignis, ihre Songs wieder mit der Welt zu teilen. So erkl\u00e4rte sie <a href=\"https:\/\/rockandrollglobe.com\/indie-rock\/watch-shonali-shares-video-for-up-all-night\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in einem Interview<\/a>: \u201eMein Vater hat mich immer ermutigt, Risiken einzugehen, mir selbst treu zu bleiben und etwas zu wagen.\u201c Als die Entscheidung gefallen war, wieder ein Album aufzunehmen, ging alles ganz schnell. Schlie\u00dflich hatten sich in einem Jahrzehnt haufenweise Songs auf ihrer Festplatte angesammelt.
