Erst wenn sie nicht mehr richtig funktionieren, wenn sie schmerzen oder jucken, merken wir, dass sie da sind. Zu sehr sind unsere Hirne mit dem puren (\u00dcber-)Leben besch\u00e4ftigt. Ein Beispiel: Wann habt Ihr das letzte Mal \u00fcber Eure Ohren nachgedacht? \u00dcber diese beiden Knorpelmuscheln, die kleinste Bewegungen in der Luft in W\u00f6rter, L\u00e4rm oder Musik verwandeln k\u00f6nnen? M\u00f6glicherweise lange nicht mehr. <\/p>\n<p>Um unsere Ohren, bzw. das H\u00f6ren im Allgemeinen, geht es Peggy Gou auf ihrem Deb\u00fctalbum. Das zeigt erst einmal der Titel: ein schlichtes \u201eI Hear You\u201c. Ich h\u00f6re Dich. Ein sch\u00f6ner Satz, eine best\u00e4tigende Geste. Gleichzeitig funktional und irgendwie liebevoll. Ich verstehe Dich. Und auch das Cover der lang erwarteten ersten LP der in S\u00fcdkorea geborenen und in Berlin lebenden DJ und Musikerin lenkt direkt die Aufmerksamkeit auf das H\u00f6ren. Es zeigt Gou mit vom isl\u00e4ndisch-d\u00e4nischen K\u00fcnstler \u00d3lafur El\u00edasson designten \u201eOhrringen\u201c: zwei Spiegelkonstruktionen, die ihre Ohren mehrfach reflektieren. Peggy Gou h\u00f6rt mehr als nur zu. <\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ungefiltertes akustisches Gl\u00fccksgef\u00fchl<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Und sie horcht nicht nur nach au\u00dfen, sondern auch nach innen. Mit ihrem 2023er Smash-Hit \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/news\/it-goes-like-nanana-neue-single-von-peggy-gou-133813\/\">(It Goes Like) Nanana<\/a>\u201c (der das Zentrum von \u201eI Hear You\u201c bildet) wollte sie ein unaussprechliches Gef\u00fchl in Musik verwandeln. \u201eDas Gef\u00fchl von Liebe, W\u00e4rme und Aufregung\u201c, sagte Gou, \u201ewenn Du von Freund*innen und Geliebten umgeben bist und die Energie f\u00fcr sich selbst spricht.\u201c Als \u201eWorte\u201c fielen ihr daf\u00fcr nur \u201eNanana\u201c ein. Doch wenn man den Song h\u00f6rt, ist sofort klar, worum es ihr geht. Der Song ist ungefiltertes akustisches Gl\u00fccksgef\u00fchl. Bubblegum-House, der Blutzucker und Endorphin-Level in medizinisch bedenkliche H\u00f6hen schie\u00dfen lassen kann. <\/p>\n<p>Was auch nicht zu \u00fcberh\u00f6ren ist: Peggy Gous Musik ist nicht besonders subtil. Das ist aber keine Schw\u00e4che: Direkt nach dem Spoken-Word-Intro \u201eYour Art\u201c ballert sie eine Hookline nach der anderen heraus. Die musikalische Grundbasis ist stets House, aber mit Pop im Fokus. In \u201eBack To One\u201c trifft ein hinrei\u00dfender Refrain auf pushenden Drumbeat, Herz und F\u00fc\u00dfe im Einklang. Das gilt auch f\u00fcr die wortlosen Tracks wie das Hi-NRG-Outro \u201e1+1=11\u201c. In \u201eSeoulsi Peggygou\u201c treffen Drum-&#8217;n&#8216;-Bass-Breakbeats auf koreanische Folk-Sounds. Ohne Angst vor Cheesyness, sondern mit vollem Genuss. Apropos: Die etwas weniger tanzbare Hymne \u201eI Believe In Love Again\u201c k\u00f6nnte in der Theorie schmalzig daherkommen, mit ihrer schmierigen R&#038;B-Hookline und Gastgesang von Lenny Kravitz(!) \u2013 ist sie aber wundersamerweise \u00fcberhaupt nicht. Ein perfektes Beispiel f\u00fcr Gous House-Pop-Zauberei. Das H\u00f6ren, das im Zentrum von \u201eI Hear You\u201c steht, ist kein feinf\u00fchliges Lauschen. Stattdessen geht es Gou hier um offenherziges Einanderzuh\u00f6ren \u2013 um die nonverbale Verbindung, die so nur auf dem Dancefloor entstehen kann. <\/p>\n<p>Ver\u00f6ffentlichung: 7.
