Die japanisch-britische S\u00e4ngerin und Rapperin ist noch eine relative Newcomerin im Musikgesch\u00e4ft. Erst w\u00e4hrend der Pandemie kam sie im Jahr 2020 auf die Idee, Musik nicht nur zu h\u00f6ren, sondern auch eigene St\u00fccke aufzunehmen. Bereits im Jahr darauf ver\u00f6ffentlichte die Londonerin ihre ersten Singles aus ihrer Deb\u00fct-EP \u201eGreat Taste\u201c. Die von ihr ko-produzierten Beats waren inspiriert von HipHop und R&amp;B von Acts wie Kelis, J Dilla oder MF DOOM. Von Vorbildern also, die sich um den Fortschritt ihrer Genres verdient gemacht haben, indem sie offene Ohren behielten. Insofern ist es nur folgerichtig, dass Miso Extra auch Daft Punk als Einfluss nannte, wenngleich man das nicht unbedingt h\u00f6rte. Im Jahr 2023 hob sie ihre Kunst auf ein neues Level, als sie mit der EP \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/tracks-des-tages\/50-50-miso-extra-135661\/\">MSG<\/a>\u201c ihr Deb\u00fct auf dem renommierten Label Transgressive Records gab.<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend Miso Extra auf \u201eMSG\u201c noch weitgehend einen Alternative-HipHop-Ansatz verfolgte, verschob wenige Monate sp\u00e4ter die Single \u201e2nd Floor\u201c die Grenzen ihres bisherigen Horizonts. Denn hier thronten die hyperpoppig angehauchten R&amp;B-Vocals \u00fcber einem gesch\u00e4ftigen Stop-and-Go-Breakbeat zwischen Dubstep und Footwork. Die Produktion \u00fcberlie\u00df sie bei unserem Track des Tages dem australischen Wahl-Londoner Tristan Hallis alias DJ Boring. Als dieser ihr den UK-Garage-Beat vorspielte, wusste Miso Extra sofort, \u201edass er etwas Besonderes ist und dass wir zusammenarbeiten m\u00fcssen, um diese Idee zu entwickeln.\u201c Teil des Ergebnisses wurde ein \u201ehappy accident\u201c: \u201eIch war wirklich frustriert, dass ich die Stimme und die Intonation nicht so hinbekam, wie ich es wollte. So sehr, dass ich bei einem Take unvermittelt \u201aI didn\u2019t get it!\u2018 ausrief, was schlie\u00dflich als Sample in den Track einfloss.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Die Single \u201eSlow Down\u201c von Miso Extra ist auf dem Label Transgressive Records erschienen.
