Trotz dieser Club-Vibes ist unser Track des Tages in erster Linie ein Popsong. Insofern steht der Song ziemlich exemplarisch f\u00fcr den ersten Longplayer der britischen S\u00e4ngerin, Rapperin und Produzentin. Denn die S\u00fcdlondonerin m\u00f6chte, \u201edass die Leute zu dieser Musik vorgl\u00fchen. Ich m\u00f6chte, dass sie dazu feiern. Und ich will, dass sie sie auflegen, wann immer sie sich befl\u00fcgelt oder erm\u00e4chtigt f\u00fchlen wollen.\u201c So clubbig wie auf dem Mixtape hat sich Mysie bislang noch nicht pr\u00e4sentiert. Im Jahr 2019, als Lizbet Sempa f\u00fcr den Song \u201eRocking Chair\u201c erstmals dieses Pseudonym nutzte, stellte sie sich der Welt mit einer schweren Ballade als experimentelle R&amp;B-Singer-Songwriterin vor. \u00dcber f\u00fcnf Jahre tastete sie sich langsam an Dancefloor-Beats heran, meistens aus den Bereichen Alternative-R&amp;B und House Music. Nun ist sie in ihrer Breakbeat-Phase angekommen. Neben rollenden Jungle-Beats wartet \u201eControlla\u201c mit Jersey-Club- und Footwork-Reminiszenzen oder Breakbeat-House-Anleihen auf.<\/p>\n<p>Vor allem ist die LP musikalisch eine undogmatische, spa\u00dfige Angelegenheit: \u201eDie spielerische Herangehensweise beim Songschreiben war eine bedeutende Ver\u00e4nderung f\u00fcr dieses Projekt. Ich enth\u00fclle eine andere Seite von mir, die schon immer da war und nur darauf gewartet hat, zum Vorschein zu kommen\u201c, sagt Mysie. Es sollte Musik sein, \u201edie zum Tanzen anregt und etwas in Dir ausl\u00f6st. Musik, die einen Moment erzeugt.\u201c F\u00fcr unseren Track des Tages schwebte ihr ein Videospiel-Vibe vor, \u201emit Synthies und D&amp;B-inspirierten Drums. Ich habe sie zerhackt und mit [der Band] Gold Spectacles weiterbearbeitet.\u201c Der \u00c4sthetik zum Trotz ist das St\u00fcck kein reiner Party-Track. So handeln die Lyrics davon, sich weiterzuentwickeln und dabei konsequent toxische Sch\u00f6nwetterfreundschaften aufzuk\u00fcndigen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Album \u201eControlla\u201c von Mysie ist auf dem Label OneRPM erschienen. Der Song \u201eLittle Too Late\u201c daraus ist heute unser Track des Tages.
