Allerdings ist die franz\u00f6sische Art-Pop-Produzentin Marylou Vanina Mayniel keine wirkliche Newcomerin mehr. So ver\u00f6ffentlichte die K\u00fcnstlerin aus Poitiers bereits im Jahr 2014 ihre erste EP \u201eAvril\u201c, damals allerdings noch unter dem Namen Loumar. Auf musikalischer Ebene waren die musikalischen Koordinaten, die sie heute als Oklou bereist, mit diesem Deb\u00fct aber auch schon unter dem alten Pseudonym einigerma\u00dfen abgesteckt. Freilich sind jedoch Club-Sounds und Experimentelles, bei verwandter \u00c4sthetik nicht immer tats\u00e4chlich f\u00fcr den Dancefloor ausgerichtetes Songwriting L\u00e4ngen- und Breitengrade, in denen man viel entdecken kann. Ein Feld jedenfalls, das Platz bietet f\u00fcr Kooperationen mit so verschiedenen Acts wie dem Hyperpop-Producer A. G. Cook (PC Music), der Rapperin Shygirl oder Sega Bodega. So geschehen auf Oklous erstem Longplayer \u201eGalore\u201c (2020).<\/p>\n<p>Dass \u201eChoke Enough\u201c also als erstes Album von Oklou verkauft wird, ist nur eine administrative Feinheit. Mit ihren futuristischen Avantgarde-Pop-Tracks hat Mayniel zwischenzeitlich Remix-Auftr\u00e4ge von gro\u00dfen Namen wie Caroline Polachek und Dua Lipa bekommen. Ihr Deb\u00fctalbum begreift sie als \u201est\u00e4ndiges Zwiegespr\u00e4ch zwischen einem realit\u00e4tsorientierten und einem fantasiebetonten Leben. Ich kann mir ein Leben ohne Tagtr\u00e4ume und Zeit f\u00fcr die Sch\u00f6nheit nicht vorstellen, brauche aber auch Bodenhaftung, um das Geschehen um mich herum zu beachten.\u201c Entsprechend sollte unser Track des Tages zugleich \u201ewie etwas \u00c4therisches, aber auch sehr Erdiges\u201c klingen. \u00dcber den sph\u00e4rischen Synth-Beat teilt sich Oklou das Mikro mit dem schwedischen Rapper Bladee. Gerade dessen Beitrag versieht f\u00fcr Mayniel den Song \u201emit der n\u00f6tigen Bodenhaftung\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Das Album \u201eChoke Enough\u201c von Oklou erscheint am 14.
