Seit seinem \u00fcberaus erfolgreichen Deb\u00fctalbum<\/a> aus dem Jahr 2022 ist das britische Post-Punk-Duo Wet Leg unerm\u00fcdlich um die Welt getourt. Da ist es nur konsequent, dass die Bandgr\u00fcnderinnen Hester Chambers und Rhian Teasdale die Songs f\u00fcr ihr nun angek\u00fcndigtes Zweitwerk \u201eMoisturizer\u201c gemeinsam mit ihrer Liveband geschrieben haben. \u201eWir haben uns beim Schreiben darauf fokussiert, ob es Spa\u00df machen wird, die Songs live zu spielen\u201c, so S\u00e4ngerin Teasdale. F\u00fcr die Aufnahmen fanden sich Wet Leg erneut im Studio von Produzent Dan Carey (u. a. Franz Ferdinand, Fontaines D.C., Bat For Lashes) ein.<\/p>\n

Parallel zur Albumank\u00fcndigung ist die erste Single \u201eCatch These Fists\u201c samt Video erschienen. Ein klassischer Wet-Leg-Banger, inspiriert von einer \u201eunangenehmen Begegnung mit einem aggressiven Typen\u201c. Der Rest des Albums sei hingegen eine Sammlung von Liedern \u00fcber die Liebe in all ihren Facetten \u2013 etwas, wogegen sich Teasdale fr\u00fcher gestr\u00e4ubt habe, den Prozess aber als erm\u00e4chtigend erlebt habe. Allzu lieblich wird es auf dem Album aber sicher nicht zugehen: W\u00e4hrend der Albumaufnahmen schaute die Band laut Pressetext n\u00e4chtelang Horrorfilme, was sich auch im etwas unheimlichen Albumcover widerspiegelt.<\/p>\n
