Young Gun Silver Fox ver\u00f6ffentlichen im Mai ihr f\u00fcnftes Album<\/h6>\n

Mit \u201eLate Night Last Train\u201c hat das britisch-US-amerikanische Duo Young Gun Silver Fox die zweite Single aus seinem kommenden Album ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Die US-H\u00e4lfte der Band ist der Musiker Shawn Lee, der sich einen Namen mit Film- und Videospiel-Soundtracks<\/a> gemacht hat. Dabei sprechen wir nicht von irgendwelchen obskuren Indie-Produktionen. So lieferten Shawn Lee und sein Ping Pong Orchestra Musik zu Games wie \u201eGrand Theft Auto\u201c und Filmen der Gr\u00f6\u00dfenordnung von \u201eOceans 13\u201c. Angefangen hat es f\u00fcr ihn Ende der 80er in Los Angeles, wo er unter anderem mit den Beastie-Boys-Produzenten The Dust Brothers und mit Jeff Buckley arbeitete. In den 1990ern siedelte er nach Gro\u00dfbritannien um. In London traf er auf den S\u00e4nger und Songschreiber Andy Platts, der seine Liebe zum L.A.-Sound teilt. Speziell zu den eleganten und funky 70er- und 80er-Rock-Produktionen, die man heute so gerne unter dem Label \u201eYacht Rock\u201c zusammenw\u00fcrfelt.<\/p>\n

Als Young Gun Silver Fox haben Platts und Lee seit 2015 vier Alben ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Darauf verneigen sie sich vor Bands wie The Doobie Brothers, Toto und America und Songwritern wie Christopher Cross oder Daryl Hall & John Oates. Was anf\u00e4nglich nach liebevollem Nachbau klang, wurde zum Update mit eigener Handschrift. Nach ihrem Album \u201eTicket To Shangri-La\u201c (2022) gastierten sie auf \u201eShe’s In LA<\/a>\u201c, dem klaren Hit der Rio-18<\/a>-LP \u201eRadio Ch\u00e9vere\u201c. Der discoiden Leadsingle \u201eStevie & Sly\u201c folgt unser Track des Tages im gem\u00e4chlichen Tempobereich. Die Musik entstand \u201em\u00fchelos und tauchte praktisch aus dem \u00c4ther auf\u201c, erinnert sich Lee. Aus den Vorlagen machen sie kein Geheimnis. So nennen sie Vorbilder wie Todd Rundgren, den \u201eFeenstaub\u201c von Fleetwood Mac und vor allem Delegations Song \u201eOh Honey\u201c. \u201eSolche Mid-Tempo-Grooves bieten uns die ideale Kulisse, einerseits deep und vertr\u00e4umt, andererseits mit tuckernd-treibendem Puls.\u201c<\/p>\n
