Geboren wurde Jenny Hirons im syrischen Damaskus, wuchs aber in London auf und studierte dort Grafikdesign. Mittlerweile lebt sie in den USA und bet\u00e4tigt sich in Los Angeles vor allem als visuelle K\u00fcnstlerin. Nach jahrelangem Herumfriemeln an eigenen Songs ver\u00f6ffentlicht Hirons nun mit \u201eFuture Perfect\u201c eine erste EP. \u201eFuture Perfect\u201c versteht die K\u00fcnstlerin zugleich als Trennungs-, Arbeitslosigkeits- und Ungewisse-Zukunft-Platte. Auf dieser geht es um kindliche Vorstellungen und kapitalistische \u00dcberbauten, um Landstra\u00dfenfahrten und das Verschwinden im \u00c4ther. Dennoch beharren die Liner-Notes darauf, dass die Stimmung der EP \u201ealles andere als nachdenklich\u201c sei.<\/p>\n<p>Als Einfl\u00fcsse nennt Hirons unter anderem den Tango-Akkordeonisten Astor Piazzolla, The Beach Boys, Elliott Smith, Deerhoof und Sergei Rachmaninow. Aber auch David Bowie und Brian Eno geh\u00f6ren ebenso zu ihren Einfl\u00fcssen wie die japanischen Musiker Ryuichi Sakamoto und Haruomi Hosono. Auf unserem Track des Tages haben die letzteren beiden als Synth-Pop-Pioniere von allen Genannten die h\u00f6rbarsten Spuren hinterlassen. Zwischen vergn\u00fcgt quietschenden und blubbernden Synths singt Hirons \u00fcber ein Leben in einer stumpfsinnigen, profitgetriebenen Welt. Das f\u00fchlt sich zwar alles andere als ideal an, aber zum Verzagen bringt sie das auch nicht. \u201eDieser Song handelt davon, sich aus dem monotonen Arbeitsalltag und den kapitalistischen Systemen zu befreien, die uns von uns selbst trennen\u201c, sagt Hirons. \u201eEs geht darum, den Trott abzusch\u00fctteln, zum Spielerischen zur\u00fcckzukehren und unser Leben selbst in die Hand zu nehmen.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Die EP \u201eFuture Perfect\u201c von Hirons erscheint am 14. November 2025 auf dem Label Western Vinyl. Der als Vorabsingle ver\u00f6ffentlichte Song \u201eBeing The Cause\u201c daraus ist heute unser Track des Tages.
