Kevin Parker, Bandleader von Tame Impala, wird 40 Jahre alt<\/h6>\n

\u201eSundown Syndrome\u201c ist unser Track des Tages zum 40. Geburtstag des australischen Musikers Kevin Parker. Heute ist der K\u00fcnstler aus Perth eine etablierte Hausnummer in Sachen Psychedelik, was ein weites Feld ist. Oder eine angemessen gro\u00dfe Spielwiese f\u00fcr einen vielseitigen K\u00fcnstler wie Parker. Vor allem kennt man ihn durch sein Projekt Tame Impala, aber auch von der Psych-Rock-Band Pond oder als einstigen musikalischen (und privaten) Partner von Melody Prochet (Melody’s Echo Chamber). Daneben arbeitete er mit so verschiedenen Acts wie Kali Uchis, Thundercat, Lady Gaga oder The Avalanches. Bevor die LP \u201eCurrents<\/a>\u201c 2015 Tame Impalas Horizont erweiterte (und den internationalen Durchbruch darstellte), war Parkers Projekt vor allem eine Psych-Rock-Band. Acht Jahre zuvor ver\u00f6ffentlichten Tame Impala als Deb\u00fctsingle unseren Track des Tages. Aufgenommen im Londoner Toe-Rag-Studio, dessen Analog-Sound Parker sch\u00e4tzte, fand vor Ort keine wirkliche Produktion statt. \u201eWir haben es einfach so gespielt, wie es vorherbestimmt war\u201c, erinnert sich Parker. Mit jazzigen Drums, Taktartwechseln und Space-Effekten zitieren Tame Impala in bester Live-Band-Form 60s-Psych, geben aber auch einen Ausblick auf das, was kommen sollte.<\/p>\n
