\u201eLean\u201c hei\u00dft die neue Single der kanadischen S\u00e4ngerin und Songschreiberin Charlotte Day Wilson. Als sie circa 19 Jahre alt war, begann die Musikerin aus Toronto, Ontario, Musik im Selbstverlag herauszubringen und war Teil der Funk-Band The Wayo. F\u00fcr eine Weile lebte sie in Montreal, wo sie ein Praktikum bei der Firma Arts & Crafts Productions (zu der das gleichnamige Indie-Label geh\u00f6rt) absolvierte. W\u00e4hrend dieser Zeit begann sie auch, mit Leuten wie Daniel Caesar oder BadBadNotGood zu arbeiten. Vier Jahre nach ihrem Solodeb\u00fct \u201ePalimpsest\u201c ver\u00f6ffentlichte sie 2016 ihre erste offizielle EP \u201eCDW\u201c, mit Label und allem, was dazugeh\u00f6rt. Gerade durch seine Zur\u00fcckhaltung ist Wilsons Sound gewagt. Denn ihre Songs sind nicht auf Hooks und Effekthascherei hin optimiert. Stattdessen produziert sie R&B-Songs voller Understatement und experimentellem Sounddesign. Ihr neue Single vereint Charlotte Day Wilson mit Saya Gray, einer weiteren gro\u00dfen experimentellen kanadischen Alt-Pop-K\u00fcnstlerin. Ein hypnotischer Song, in dem die Grenzen zwischen den manipulierten Gesangsparts und Synths-Sounds, zwischen Wilson und Gray, zwischen Mensch und Maschine, verschwimmen.<\/p>\n
