\u201eVocal Tune\u201c von Peshay ist eines der Highlights der an Highlights nicht armen Compilation \u201eLogical Progression\u201c. 1996 pr\u00e4sentierte der britische Drum-&-Bass-Produzent LTJ Bukem unter diesem Titel die Cr\u00e8me de la Cr\u00e8me seines Labels Good Looking. Heute gilt \u201eLogical Progression\u201c als Meilenstein des Genres und neben Goldies \u201eTimeless\u201c und dem Metalheadz-Sampler \u201ePlatinum Breakz\u201c als eines der einflussreichsten D&B-Alben. Good Looking repr\u00e4sentierte einen Sound, der weniger hektisch war als die Musik der fr\u00fchen Jungle-Tage und weniger spr\u00f6de als viele zeitgen\u00f6ssische Produktionen. Irgendwann entstand f\u00fcr diese atmosph\u00e4rische Art Musik die doppelt unfaire Bezeichnung \u201eIntelligent Drum & Bass\u201c. Jedoch sind andere Stilrichtungen keinesfalls weniger ausgefuchst. Zum anderen lauern unter der entspannten Atmosph\u00e4re auf \u201eLogical Progression\u201c h\u00f6chst funktionale Dancefloor-Banger. Davon ragen zwei St\u00fccke besonders heraus. Zum einen ist das Bukems eigenes \u201eHorizons\u201c, die Blaupause f\u00fcr Liquid Drum & Bass. Unser Track des Tages wiederum bettet soulige House-Vocals auf Streicher-Fl\u00e4chen und E-Piano-Akkorde. Darunter kl\u00f6ppeln rastlose, formwandelnde Breakbeats, w\u00e4hrend ein t\u00e4uschend schmoove klingender funky Sub-Bass forsch die Magengrube massiert.<\/p>\n
