„Die Brille des Rock’n’Roll“ titelt Spiegel Online <\/a> und man wei\u00df gleich: Buddy Holly. Christoph Dallach zollt dem S\u00e4nger Tribut, der am 3. Februar 1959 im Alter von 22 Jahren bei einem Flugzeugabsturz ums Leben kam. Er ver\u00f6ffentlichte drei Alben und stand nur anderthalb Jahre im Rampenlicht. „Rave On Buddy Holly“ hei\u00dft das Album, dass nun p\u00fcnktlich zu seinem anstehenden 75. Geburtstag im September erscheint, und auf der neunzehn bew\u00e4hrte und frische Gr\u00f6\u00dfen die Rock’n’Roll-Oldies aufm\u00f6beln. Mit dabei sind neben lebenden Legenden wie Paul McCartney, Lou Reed, Patti Smith auch Nachwuchsk\u00fcnstler wie Cee Lo Green, Julian Casablancas, Karen Elson oder Florence and The Machine.<\/p>\n

Wie wir bereits vor einigen Wochen berichteten<\/a>, ver\u00f6ffentlichen die Red Hot Chili Peppers ein neues Album. Nun verk\u00fcndet Spinner<\/a>, dass kein geringerer als der britische K\u00fcnstler Damien Hirst das Cover von „I\u2019m with You“ gestaltet hat. Hier<\/a> kann man es sich anschauen und selbst urteilen. Anthony Kiedis, S\u00e4nger der Band sagte dazu gegen\u00fcber dem Classic Rock Magazines: „It’s an image. It’s art. Iconic. We didn’t give it its meaning but it’s clearly open to interpretation.“ Hirst geh\u00f6rt zu den Mitbegr\u00fcndern der Londoner Young British Artist- Bewegung und erlangte besonders durch das Einlegen von Tierk\u00f6rpern in Formaldehyd Bekanntheit. Er f\u00fchrte 1995 bereits Regie zu dem Video zu „Country House“ der britischen Band Blur und kreierte Visuals f\u00fcr das diesj\u00e4hrige Konzert der irischen Band U2 beim Glastonbury Konzert.<\/p>\n

Die f\u00fchrten ein Video-Interview mit dem begehrten K\u00fcnstler \u00fcber sein Album „Space Is Only Noise“, die Bedeutung von Raum und wie wichtig Versagen f\u00fcr seinen Produktionsprozess ist. <\/p>\n

Outkasts Andre 3000 als Jimi Hendrix Darsteller? Das k\u00f6nnte wahr werden, wenn man dem NME<\/a> und Schauspielerin Hayley Atwell Glauben schenken kann. Sie verriet in einem Interview mit dem Esquire Magazin zu ihrem neuen Film „Captain America“, dass der S\u00e4nger als Kandidat f\u00fcr die Hauptrolle in einer Biografie \u00fcber die Gitarren-Legende gehandelt werde: „[I’m] possibly [starring in] a Jimi Hendrix biopic \u2014 an independent film with Andre 3000 from Outkast playing Jimi Hendrix.
