Den Preis f\u00fcr den sch\u00f6nsten Albumtitel des Jahres haben sie schon mal verdient. „Plowing Into The Field Of Love“ hei\u00dft das neue Album der d\u00e4nischen Garagerock-Combo Iceage<\/a>. Und das Pfl\u00fcgen auf dem Feld der Liebe gelingt auch auf ihrem dritten Album ziemlich gut. Ein Album, das nach abgestandenem Bier, kaltem Zigarettenrauch im Proberaum, aber auch nach jugendlichen Sehns\u00fcchten klingt. Ein blechernes Schlagzeug, halbverstimmte Gitarren, ein roher, unbearbeiteter E-Bass und ein leidenschaftlich vernuschelter Gesang, der zwischen Husten und gelegentlichen Kotzlauten pendelt und sich stilistisch an einer Kreuzung aus dem sprechhaften Erz\u00e4hlgesang von Julia Casablancas (The Strokes) und Cursives Tim Kasher versucht. Im instrumentalen Grundrauschen blitzen dann, im Gegensatz zu dem noch wesentlich punkigeren Vorg\u00e4nger „You\u2019re Nothing“, gelegentlich Klavierakkorde und Trompeten auf.<\/p>\n

Die Welt der vier Musiker Anfang 20 l\u00e4sst sich relativ einfach in Schwarz und Wei\u00df aufteilen, was den \u00c4lteren eine Reise in die Sorglosigkeit der Jugend erm\u00f6glicht und den Gleichaltrigen zu ersten Schritten auf dem Gebiet des Weltschmerzes und des Exzesses verhilft. Die Texte bewegen sich dabei zwischen sympathischer Selbst\u00fcbersch\u00e4tzung wie in „The Lord\u2019s Favorite“ („I am God\u2019s favorite one“) und melancholisch-sch\u00f6nen Liebeshuldigungen wie in „Forever“ („If I could dive into the other \/ I would lose myself forever“). Wom\u00f6glich ist die Band aus Kopenhagen nicht ohne Hintergedanken nach einem Song der Postpunkband Joy Division benannt. Denn er brachte Mitte der 80er-Jahre die Hoffnungslosigkeit der Gegenwart pr\u00e4zise auf den Punkt. Mit Songs wie „How Many“, einer wiederum punkigeren Hymne inklusive epischem Refrain mit Rhythmuswechsel, zeigen Iceage dann jedoch, dass es ihnen eigentlich um nichts anderes als die Essenz der Popmusik geht: dem Alltag sinnvoll zu entfliehen, sei es mit erhobenem Mittelfinger oder offenen Armen.<\/p>\n
