M\u00e4rz berichtete<\/a>. Durch seine Aufnahmen mit The Walker Brothers Mitte der 60er-Jahre wurde der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/news\/scott-walker-popstar-genie-und-klangweltenforscher-63630\/\">sp\u00e4tere Klangweltenforscher<\/a>, der 1943 als Noel Scott Engel geboren wurde, nicht nur ein internationaler Superstar, sondern auch zur Gesangsikone. Als sich die von London aus operierende US-Band 1967 aufl\u00f6ste, hatte sie zwei Nummer-Eins-Hits in Gro\u00dfbritannien gehabt (darunter \u201eThe Sun Ain&#8217;t Gonna Shine Anymore\u201c) und Scott Walker war mit Anfang 20 bereits des Popstar-Daseins m\u00fcde.<\/p>\n<p>Auf Solo-Pfaden war er in den n\u00e4chsten zwei Jahren mit den Alben \u201eScott 1\u201c bis \u201eScott 3\u201c eine Konstante in den britischen Top Ten, danach blieb der gro\u00dfe kommerzielle Erfolg aus. Zwischen Mitte der 70er-Jahre und 1995 erschien, neben einer m\u00e4\u00dfig erfolgreichen Wiedervereinigung von The Walker Brothers, nur ein einziges Scott-Walker-Album. Die von der Kritik gesch\u00e4tzten Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen ab Mitte der 90er stellten einen radikalen Bruch mit dem bisherigen Werk dar: Scott Walker, der mit Mitte 20 musikalisch alles erreicht hatte, machte, was er f\u00fcr k\u00fcnstlerisch relevant hielt \u2013 kompromisslose Avantgarde-Alben. Ab 2006 ver\u00f6ffentlichte der K\u00fcnstler auf dem US-amerikanischen Label 4AD. Seine letzte Arbeit war der Soundtrack zum Film \u201eVox Lux\u201c im Jahr 2018.
