Der Titel beschreibt den Sound der Band Chromatics aus Portland, Oregon, eigentlich ziemlich akkurat. Doch was federleicht daherkommt, muss nicht gesund sein. Und so schwingt beim <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/news\/krakow-loves-adana-follow-the-voice-94464\/\">Synth-Pop<\/a> von Chromatics immer etwas Unheimliches und D\u00fcsteres mit. Woran zum Beispiel David Lynch derartigen Gefallen gefunden hat, dass er die Gruppe in der dritten Staffel seiner Serie \u201eTwin Peaks\u201c auftreten lie\u00df. Das neue Album ist das f\u00fcnfte in der Chromatics-Diskografie; laut Bandauskunft sogar das siebte (als n\u00e4chster Release steht anscheinend Album Nummer sechs an). Und der erste Longplayer seit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/news\/chromatics-kill-for-love-35943\/\">2012<\/a>. Damals er\u00f6ffnete man mit einer von allen Rockismen befreiten Coverversion von Neil Youngs \u201eHey Hey, My My (Into The Black)\u201c. \u201eCloser To Grey\u201c holt eingangs Simon &amp; Garfunkels \u201eThe Sound Of Silence\u201c weg vom Lagerfeuer.
