Ihre Version verwandelt konsequente Monotonie in funky Ereignisarmut.\" \/><\/p>\n<h6>St. Vincent auf dem Cover ihres Remixes von Becks \u201eUneventful Days\u201c<\/h6>\n<p>Funky Ereignisarmut: Die Avantgarde-Indie-Musikerin und Produzentin Annie Clark alias St. Vincent hat sich des Tracks \u201eUneventful Days\u201c von Becks letztem Album \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/sendungen\/neuland\/2019-11-22\/13\/beck-leonard-cohen-upset\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyperspace<\/a>\u201c angenommen. W\u00e4hrend im Original die Musik einen ereignislosen Tag musikalisch unterstrichen hat, gelingt es der US-amerikanischen K\u00fcnstlerin aus Oklahoma, das St\u00fcck zu funkifizieren. Und zwar mit einem Funk einer zackigen, \u00f6konomischen und manchmal fast schon rockigen Pr\u00e4gung. Stilistisch nicht un\u00e4hnlich der Schule eines Prince und anderer K\u00fcnstlerInnen aus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TBr6H75DBsU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minneapolis<\/a> in den 80ern. Es ist gar nicht so, dass in der urspr\u00fcnglichen Version nichts passiert w\u00e4re: Beck bewegte sich groovetechnisch zwischen Drum &amp; Bass, Trap und dem Sound von Heimorgel-Begleitautomaten. St. Vincent verlangsamt das St\u00fcck sogar leicht, verdoppelt aber die Schlagzahl und konterkariert die thematische Monotonie mit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/sendungen\/sounds-outta-range\/2017-01-11\/21\/early-80s-synth-funk\/\">Synth-Funk<\/a>. Man k\u00f6nnte beinahe schon meinen, man befinde sich in einem Paralleluniversum, in dem Beck den Sound seiner \u201eWhere-It&#8217;s-At\u201c-Phase ausgebaut hat. Andererseits tr\u00e4gt die funky Ereignisarmut auch eindeutig den Stempel von St. Vincent. Annie Clarks Sound ist n\u00e4mlich in allen Genres wiedererkennbar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eUneventful Days\u201c von Beck ist bei Fonograf Records auf dem Album \u201eHyperspace\u201c erschienen.
