Das ist \u00fcberhaupt nichts Schlechtes. Die Bl\u00e4ser-Fanfaren in \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/news\/yves-tumor-kuendigt-neues-albums-an-98759\/\">Gospel For A New Century<\/a>\u201c geben einem das Gef\u00fchl, einen Marathon laufen zu k\u00f6nnen. Obwohl man die Wohnung seit Wochen nicht verlassen hat. \u201eCome and light my fire, baby\u201c, singt Tumor im Refrain \u2013 und man nimmt ihm jede Silbe dieses Mackertums ab. Es ist wom\u00f6glich der m\u00e4chtigste Album-Er\u00f6ffnungstrack, den das Jahr 2020 bisher zu bieten hat.<\/p>\n<p>Tumor, mit b\u00fcrgerlichem Namen Sean Bowie, gibt sich auf diesem Album als wahrer Rockstar. Das ist im Anblick seiner Diskografie ein ziemliches Wunder. Bowie startete zum Beginn der 10er-Jahre mit gediegenem Chillwave, damals noch ver\u00f6ffentlicht unter dem Namen Teams. Die ersten LPs unter dem Namen Yves Tumor waren abgefahrene Noise-Experimente, mehr von Throbbing Gristle als von The Doors beeinflusst. Vor zwei Jahren begann die Transformation zum Rockstar, mit dem dritten Album \u201eSafe In The Hands Of Love\u201c, auf dem Tumor ein paar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byte.fm\/blog\/news\/yves-tumor-noid-track-des-tages-85558\/\">hinterlistig eing\u00e4ngige Pop-Songs<\/a> versteckte.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Transformation zum Rockstar<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Mit \u201eHeaven To A Tortured Mind\u201c ist die Transformation komplett. Wie auch beim Vorg\u00e4nger sitzt Produzent Justin Raisen an den Reglern. Dieser hat bereits mit Mainstream-Acts wie Charli XCX und Sky Ferreira als auch mit K\u00fcnstlerinnen wie Kim Gordon und Angel Olsen zusammengearbeitet und trifft bei Tumor damit genau die richtige Balance zwischen Weirdness und Pop-Appeal. Direkt nach \u201eGospel For A New Century\u201c folgt \u201eMedicine Burn\u201c, in dem Tumor \u00fcber cremig verzerrte Gitarren die Silben mit sp\u00fcrbarem Genuss dehnt.<\/p>\n<p>Ganz hat Tumor den Kontakt zu seinen experimentellen Wurzeln nicht verloren. In \u201eAsteroid Blues\u201c erklingt statt einem Gitarren-Riff wei\u00dfes Rauschen, als Kontrapunkt zur funky Bass- und Schlagzeug-Arbeit. Tumor ist mehr als nur Rockstar. Dieser Mensch kann so ziemlich alles sein. \u201eKerosene!\u201c beginnt als Duett-Ballade mit der Avantgarde-R&amp;B-S\u00e4ngerin Diana Gordon, bis pl\u00f6tzlich ein E-Gitarren-Solo explodiert, bei dem man denkt, Prince w\u00e4re wieder auferstanden. \u201eI can be anything\u201c, singt Tumor \u00fcber diesen Wahnsinn und man sp\u00fcrt, was er meint.<\/p>\n<p>Ver\u00f6ffentlichung: 3.
