Michelle Zauner alias Japanese Breakfast hatte eigentlich nicht geplant, 2017 - ein Jahr nach ihrem ersten Album - bereits ein zweites Soloalbum zu veröffentlichen. Die Gitarristin und Frontfrau der Band Little Big League hatte sich nach der Erkrankung ihrer Mutter im Jahr 2013 zurückgezogen, an eigenen Songs gearbeitet und neue Ideen verwirklicht. Nach dem Erfolg des ersten Soloalbums „Psychopomp“ folgte im Juli dieses Jahres nun „Soft Sounds From Another Planet“. Japanese Breakfast, welche eigentlich aus Korea kommt, verbindet in ihrer Musik Indie-Rock/Pop mit experimentellem LoFi und wird während ihrer Tour durch Europa, Asien und Amerika auch in Deutschland Konzerte geben, präsentiert von ByteFM.
