Heute vor 75 Jahren wurde der britische Schlagzeuger Dave Clark geboren und die Legende besagt, dass er seine erste Band gegründet hat, um Geld für den Fußballverein seiner Heimatstadt Tottenham aufzutreiben. Daraus sind dann The Dave Clark Five entstanden, eine zu Unrecht oft übersehene Band des Beat-Booms, die auch als Vorläufer des Glam Rocks gilt.
