ByteFM Magazin Low Island zu Gast
Low Island sind ein 2016 gegründetes Elektro-Pop-Quartett aus Oxford. Bestehend aus Sänger Carlos Posada, Produzent Jamie Jay, Bassist Jacob Lively und Jazz-Schlagzeuger Felix Higginbottom, lässt ihr Sound Parallelen zu Bands wie Foals, Glass Animals oder Wild Beasts erkennen. Bevor die vier die Band gründeten, arbeiteten sie als DJs, Produzenten, Jazzmusiker. Benannt haben sie sich nach einer irischen Insel, auf der die Bandmitglieder während ihrer Kindheit viel Zeit verbrachten und die ihnen nach wie vor als Inspiration für ihre Musik dient.
Im November erscheint ihr neues Album „Life In Miniature“, welches als emotional-akustische Reise durch das Leben angekündigt wird. Vor der Veröffentlichung sind Low Island bereits auf Deutschland-Tour, präsentiert von ByteFM:
