Ein erfolgreicher Akustik-Auftritt im Frühstücksfernsehen war der Ausgangspunkt für das neue Simple Minds Album "Acoustic". 12 Stücke (respektive 15 Stücke auf Vinyl) haben Jim Kerr und Charlie Burchill komplett umarrangiert und für eine akustische Besetzung aufbereitet. Frank Lechtenberg stellt einige der erfrischend anders klingenden Fassungen vor und garniert sie mit Lloyd Cole, Kurt Wagner, Ray Wilson oder auch der Band Of Horses.
