„2014 Online Odyssey“ ist das neue Album des Russen Gillepsy und handelt von seinen Erfahrungen im Internet. Anlässlich dieser Platte hackt Popschutz auf die popmusikalische Computertastatur und guckt mal: Was macht eigentlich der Computer so?
Spätestens seit Kraftwerks „Computerwelt“ ist der Computer als ästhetischer Gegenstand fest eingeschrieben in die Popmusik. Heute - in Zeiten der mobilen Datenverarbeitung - wirkt er fast anachronistisch. Grund genug, zu fragen: Was macht die Popmusik mit dieser Entwicklung? Ist der gute alte Heimcomputer schon retro? Alles online? Oder irgendwas noch offline?
