This Land - Your Land? Troubadours (Teil 8)
Ihren Anfang nahm die Geschichte der US-amerikanischen Singer/Songwriter in den Dreißigerjahren. Als Pioniere erwiesen sich damals besonders die Mitglieder der Carter Family. Sie sammelten Lieder, die nicht nur von der Liebe handelten, sondern auch vom harten Arbeitsalltag, von finanziellen Problemen und von der Politik.
Auf solche frühen Song-Sammlungen griffen die ersten Folkbarden zurück. Es folgten die Singer/Songwriter der Bürgerrechtsbewegung, der Flowerpowerjahre und der Vietnamkriegsgegner. In der achten Ausgabe der mehrteiligen Reihe "Troubadours" sind neben Townes van Zandt, Steve Young, Kris Kristofferson und Hoyt Axton u. a. Spider John Koerner und Steve Goodman zu hören.
