Die heutige Ausgabe der Tropical Heat Show wird wieder einmal präsentiert vom Hamburger Soundsystem King Kong Disko.
Ein weiteres Mal wollen wir in der heutigen Sendung auf den Spuren von Sir Coxsone Dot und seinem legendären Studio 1 Label wandeln. Coxsones musikalisches Schaffen als Produzent war von den 60ern bis in die 80er Jahre maßgeblich daran beteiligt, dass Reggae zu dem Genre geworden ist, das es heute darstellt. Unzählige jamaikanische Künztler haben ihm ihre Karriere zu verdanken. Um dies entsprechend zu dokumentieren, spielen wir in dieser Sendung ein zweistündiges Labelspecial mit Classics und Raritäten aus dem Hause Studio 1.
