Femmetronica mit Katia Fis

Katia Fis is a Berlin-based DJ, radio host and Femme Bass Mafia crew member. Her eclectic selection is a dancefloor-ready blend of bass-first and percussive styles: from breaks, deconstructed club, and hard drum to baile funk, dubstep and everything within the 140 spectrum.

Growing up, she spent hours on the road listening to the radio, dreaming of one day becoming a host herself. Fast-forward to today, she hast landed residencies on Refuge Worldwide Radio and Cashmere Radio, where she explores the softer side of her sound and invites guests to reflect on the meaning of home through music.

Originally a journalist and video editor, she playfulls weaves storytelling into her sets, melting raw bass energy with cheeky vocals and subtle nods to her favourite films or iconic pop culture moments. 

Just like the silky pink bow on her steel USB, her sound balances dark and heavy with bubbly and cutesy. Efforflessly moving between contrasts, Katia Fis has mastered her own formula for making the dancefloor glow.
