Hidden Tracks Burger Highlife
„Burger Highlife“ war eine Musikrichtung, die von ghanaischen Musikerinnen und Musikern geprägt wurde, die wegen politischer Unruhen in den 70/80er-Jahren aus Ghana gehen mussten.
Jetzt sind einige dieser Künstler*innen (u. a. Rex Gyamfi, Pat Thomas oder George Darko) auf der Kompilation "Ghana Special 2: Electronic Highlife & Afro Sounds In The Diaspora 1980-93" (Soundway Records) zu hören.
Außerdem dabei sind in dieser Ausgabe Sababa 5 und das Sandman Projekt aus Tel Aviv sowie die Plattenpolytour von Micha Phonem.
