Am 1. März 1972, vor 50 Jahren, erschien "Discover America", das zweite Album des US-amerikanischen Musikers Van Dyke Parks. Auf "Discover America" widmet sich Parks dem Calypso und führt musikalische Traditionen und Geschichten aus Trinidad und Tobago und den USA zusammen. In einer neuen Ausgabe von Ausloten hören wir Musik daraus sowie von der Esso Trinidad Steelband, Mighty Sparrow, Bonnie Raitt, Gaby Moreno und vielen mehr.
