die Sprache ist kapverdisches Kreol auf portugiesisch Crioulo caboverdiano gennant. Mayra Andrad ist auf Kuba geboren, ihr Eltern stammen von den Kap Verden, bevor Sie über mehrere Stationen nach Frankreich kam, lebete die Familie in Deutschland. Sie singt eine Art Fado.
