Désirée Dorothy Mishoe wurde im hessischen Bad Nauheim geboren und wuchs in einer belgischen Kleinstadt auf. Seit 2018 veröffentlicht die inzwischen in Berlin lebende Musikerin als May The Muse intimen wie kraftvollen Neo-Soul, der nicht selten an Genre-Größen wie Erykah Badu oder auch Lauryn Hill denken lässt. Auf dem Reeperbahn Festival 2021 spielte die Anchor-Award-nominierte Sängerin im Nochtspeicher ein Konzert, das wir heute in Gänze hören.
