.. und sicherlich weder Wahlkampfveranstaltung für Parteien, noch Werbefläche für Unternehmen.
Glücklicherweise gibt es auch heute noch Künstlerinnen, die in ihrer Musik auf die Geschichte der Stonewall Riots verweisen. Auf eine Geschichte von Selbstermächtigung und Krawallen, gegen Polizeigewalt und Willkür. So ziert das Cover von "My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross" von Anohni And The Johnsons ein Foto der Aktivistin Marsha P. Johnson.
