Der in Londen lebende Musiker Tom Vek versteht es wie kein zweiter, knarzende Elektronik, Popsongs und Punk-Sounds miteinander zu vereinen. Auf seine inzwischen dritten Album "Luck" zeigen sich keinerlei Abnutzungserscheinungen. Jessica Lea Mayfield wurde nach zwei erfolgreichen Alben, die von den Black Keys Musiker Dan Auerbach produziert wurden, immer ein wenig als Indie-Folk Hippie Girl wahrgenommen. Ihr neustes Werk hat sie kurzerhand selbst in Nashville produziert und der neue Sound klingt sehr 90er Indie-lastig und ist eine große Hommage Musikerinnen wie Tanya Donelly und Mary Timony. Außerdem neue Sounds von Sylvan Esso und Beaty Heart.
