Mourning [A] BLKstar ist ein genreübergreifendes und multigenerationales Kollektiv aus Cleveland, Ohio. Die Band versteht sich als ein „Amalgam of Black Culture" und widmet sich den Geschichten und Songs der afroamerikanischen Diaspora. Zum zehnjährigen Bandjubiläum liefern sie mit dem Album „Flowers For The Living" ein vielschichtiges und emotional tiefgehendes Werk, das sich musikalisch zwischen Jazz, Soul und Gospel bewegt.
