ByteFM Magazin Dehd zu Gast
Ein Roadtrip durch das mysteriöse New Mexico, das Auto beladen mit einem Haufen Musik-Equipment und ein paar Solarpanels: Das ist das Setting, in dem Dehd ihre fünfte LP „Poetry“ erschaffen haben. Ein starkes Kontrastprogramm zum kühlen Chicago, wo das Trio 2015 zusammenfand. In dieser malerischen Natur-Kulisse arbeiteten die drei Musiker*innen täglich an 14 Songs, in denen der warme Wüstenwind des Bundesstaates förmlich spürbar ist. Auf „Poetry“ spielen Dehd (ein Akronym für „Dream Eagle Heavy Dreams“) bittersüßen Dream- und Jangle-Pop mit der richtigen Mischung aus Melancholie und Aufbruchsstimmung. Emily Kempfs Lead-Gitarre zieht verträumt ihre Kreise, Eric McGradys Drums poltern verspielt, während Jason Ballas Gesangsmelodien das Herz umgarnen.
Dehd werden mit „Poetry“ im Gepäck zwei Deutschland-Konzerte spielen. Die Termine im Überblick:
