Die Biografien von Musiker*innen sind oft illuster. Aber welcher US-Amerikaner kann schon von sich behaupten, eine eigene Fernsehsendung im Iran gehabt zu haben? Wer hat ein Hotel in Afghanistan betrieben, wer spricht zwölf Sprachen und spielt zahllose Instrumente? Die Rede ist von Dr. Lloyd Miller, dem Erfinder des sogenannten Oriental Jazz. Am 27. Dezember 2024 ist er gestorben und diese Sendung widmen wir seinem besonderen Charakter und Lebenswerk.

Obwohl ich die Sendung ja vor allem auch für die kunterbunten Mixes schätze, war das zur Abwechslung mal wieder eine sehr spannende monothematische Ausgabe. Vielen Dank!
