Heute wurde bekannt gegeben, dass Nina Simone 2018 in die Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame aufgenommen wird. Schon seit 1986 ist sie im Gespräch des Gremiums, das sich aus Musikhistorikern zusammensetzt.
Einen Grund zu feiern haben im nächsten Jahr The Cure. Zum 40. Bandjubiläum wird die Band ein kleines Festival im Hyde Park veranstalten und hat einen Teil des Line-Ups schon heute bekannt gegeben.
Gestorben ist gestern Pat DeNizio. Der Musiker veröffentlichte vier Soloalben, war aber vor allem unterwegs als Teil seiner Band The Smithereens aus New Jersey.
